Morgan M goes veggie

Morgan M, the celebrated Islington restaurant, is introducing a special “From the garden” menu to celebrate national vegetarian week (21st-27th May 2007).

The menu includes chilled cream of broad bean with chervil foam; assiette of avocado and aubergine caviar, thin tuile of tomato, red pepper sorbet; ragoût of gnocchi and cherry tomatoes, cooking liquor; raviolo of ricotta cheese and pine nuts, steamed asparagus and Jerusalem artichoke soubise. The desserts consist of light vanilla rice pudding, orange tuile; raspberry soufflé, rhubarb and Jurançon ice cream and coulis; or dark chocolate moelleux, milk sorbet, Armagnac drink.

Meat eaters need not worry as there will also be “The Menu”, its popular 6-course tasting menu featuring meat and fish dishes, costing £43, as well as the restaurant’s à la carte menu.
